- Junpei's name is written in hiragana it has many meanings depending on the kanji used jun “淳’ = "pure, affectionate", “惇” = "considerate, kind, sincere, faithful”, “潤” = "genuine, innocent, pure”, and the kanji for pei are “平” = ”plain, flat, even, level”, “兵” = "army, private, soldier, troops, warrior."
- Junpei's kanji in his surname "近" means "near" and "道" means "road" his surname all together means "near road".
